Teaching students, regardless of their abilities, and igniting a passion for dance and movement.
Bringing the joy of dance to all students.
Ensuring that performances are inviting and inclusive so that all children and their families can fully experience the art of dance.
Rebecca has combined her knowledge of dance and special education to design dance education that is inclusive for children with a wide range of abilities. She studied ballet, tap, and jazz for thirteen years, and spent three years with Mid-Columbia Ballet, performing classical and contemporary works. Rebecca has a Master of Education degree from the University of Washington in Special Education. While attending graduate school, she volunteered with the Seattle Children's Theatre on their first sensory friendly performance. Rebecca collaborated with performing arts groups throughout the world at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Sensory Friendly Summit in Washington D.C. Rebecca founded INCLUDE because she believes that dance is a vital aspect of the whole person and that art is for everyone.
